Amelia C – Las Vegas Hair and Makeup ArtistAmelia C stumbled onto the beauty stage in a most apropo and completely unrehearsed way. She arrived back at her mom’s home in Las Vegas in 2003 (post dumb boyfriend) with her tail between her legs and flat broke. As fate would have it, her job search included finding a classified ad looking for a wedding hairstylist. Since the popular girls in high school only seemed to notice her when they wanted their hair done for a dance, she figured she had a shot. By Spring, 2004 wedding season was in full swing and so was her curling irons. Amelia decided to become an independent hair and makeup artist in 2009 after years of working with and for some completely awesome companies. Things were going along swimmingly till she realized the demand for five-star hair and makeup was more than just one tiny little hair and makeup artist could handle. Hiring a team of artists to work for her, to put her name on, was right up there with base jumping and cliff diving- scary as all get out. One by one, these amazing artists began finding their way to her little company and now make up the superstars of Amelia C & Co. A self-confessed nerd and far more domesticated then she’ll ever admit, if Amelia isn’t blushing or blogging she’s probably got one hand on a book and the other nuzzling her over-affectionate and super fluffy cat.Amelia’s expertise includes makeup for productions, advertising, commercial projects, photography, special events and conventions in Las Vegas. She is also available for travel for your project outside of Nevada. She is also a seasoned hair stylist, with special emphasis on recreating vintage hair styles. |
